“By May 2026, BCA’s mandate to move toward automated Construction Productivity Data (CPD) submissions represents the clearest near-term milestone in SGBuildex’s adoption roadmap.” — DEX Technologies, April 2026
What is SGBuildex, and why does it matter for biometric vendors?
SGBuildex is the national data backbone for Singapore’s Built Environment — a neutral, government-aligned exchange that lets every system on a construction site (biometric turnstiles, site management platforms, ERP, regulator portals) speak to each other through a single, schema-validated channel. It is not another marketplace and not a data lake; it is a pass-through with cryptographic provenance.
For biometric authentication system (BAS) vendors like XiD, that means three things:
- One integration replaces dozens. Instead of building bespoke APIs to every main contractor’s site management platform, we connect once to SGBuildex and our customers’ headcount, time-attendance, and event data flow through to whichever main contractor, sub-contractor, or regulator needs them.
- The May 2026 CPD mandate is enforceable. BCA’s Construction Productivity Data submissions move from manual ePSS uploads to machine-generated, schema-validated flows. Biometric vendors that cannot emit a CPD-shaped record in real time will not survive the audit pass.
- Data sovereignty stays with the customer. SGBuildex routes — it does not store. Every byte still belongs to the main contractor or sub-contractor that captured it; XiD remains the system of record on-prem and at the edge.
Where XiD sits today
XiD Technologies Pte Ltd is listed by SGBuildex as an Upcoming Integration under Biometric Authentication Systems → Connected Solutions. Our roadmap to full integration mirrors the CPD timeline:
- Now → Q4 2025: schema mapping. CPD record fields are aligned with the XiD event model emitted by every RevoFace Neo and partner-brand reader (ZKTeco, HIK Vision, Hanvon).
- Q1 2026: certification window — connectivity, replay, error handling.
- By May 2026: live CPD pass-through for every project provisioned in our App XiD ePSS SaaS, with no integration work required from main contractors.
The “Integration Tax” — and what we eliminate
Today, every site office in Singapore juggles a tangled mesh of point-to-point integrations: biometric attendance to site management platform, site management platform to ERP, ERP to ePSS, ePSS to a project manager’s spreadsheet, spreadsheet back to BCA. Each link must be built, tested, maintained — and breaks every time an API or schema changes.
With SGBuildex’s Connect Once, Connect All framework, the topology collapses. Biometric events captured at the turnstile by a RevoFace Neo or an integrated multi-brand reader are pushed once into the exchange. Authorised parties — main contractor, sub-contractor, regulator — pull their slice via a unified schema. No more reconciliation Excel files. No more “who has the latest CPD?”.
What this changes for our customers
If you are a main contractor or specialist sub-contractor running XiD today:
- Nothing breaks. Your existing dashboards, ePSS reports, and exports keep working exactly as they do now.
- You opt in to SGBuildex per project. Once you turn it on, your CPD submissions become automated and your sub-contractors stop chasing you for monthly reconciliations.
- You retain full control of access policy. Granular consent at the project level: who in the SGBuildex graph can see what record class, for how long, with what audit trail.
What this changes for SGBuildex partners and main contractors
If you are a main contractor evaluating BAS vendors against the May 2026 deadline, the question is no longer “does this vendor have a nice dashboard”. It is: “can this vendor emit SGBuildex-shaped CPD records, today?”
XiD’s answer is yes — and unlike legacy single-device vendors, our multi-device strategy means you can cover every gate on every site (ZKTeco, HIK Vision, Hanvon, our own RevoFace Neo) and still get one unified data stream into SGBuildex.
Get ready
The window for a clean transition is twelve months and shrinking. The teams that move now enter the new compliance era with first-mover advantage. The teams that wait until April 2026 will spend May firefighting.
